Confirmation of Chinese National Team Coach Arrangements in the Tokyo Quadrennium

National Sports Bureau officials gathered in Anshan on 29 and 30 March to decide the Chinese national coach arrangements. There were 22 applicants applying for 21 positions and the result has officially announced today. The followings are the coaches who have named to the Chinese National Team.

Throwback Thursday: The Ups and Downs in 4 Asian Championships -- Liu Shiwen

The 2017 Asian Championship will be started in 3-day time. It is also the first international meet for Liu Shiwen since her intentional-play suspension. During the suspension, Liu Shiwen played outstandingly in the national competition, winning the team champion in the 2016 Chinese Super League and making a 11-straight win in the 2017 Chinese Trials (Marvellous 12). Will she keep the momentum going?

Chinese National Team Coach Applicants Meet in Anshan

National Sports Bureau officials gathered in Anshan on 29 and 30 March to decide the Chinese national team coach arrangements. There were 22 applicants, including national team coach Liu Guoliang, Kong Linghui and Qin Zhijian. Applicants gave their speeches on their vision of the sport development, their strength and weaknesses and reviewed their coaching experience in the past quadrennium.

Medals for the 2017 Asian Championship

2017 Asian Championship will be held from 9 April to 16 April in Wuxi, Jiangsu, which is the hometown of the legendary Cai Zhenhua and 1987 World champion Hui Jun. The competition will start a week later but there are still no details about the participants for each event. Don't be upset (I know how it feels), the Chinese Table Tennis Association announced the design of the medal instead!
