Catch Up: 2021 Chinese Junior National Championships

 




2021 Chinese Junior National Championship, a great chance for you to know the up-and-coming Chinese paddlers early in the new Olympic Cycle.

18-year-old Xiang Peng becomes the biggest winner of the meet walking way with 3 titles (team, singles and mixed doubles partnering Kuai Man). Rising star Lin Shidong who won everyone's attention at the Olympic Warm-Up Match settled for second in the boys' singles. On the girls' field, Kuai Man defended her girls' singles and mixed doubles titles and placed second in the team event. The three together with other promising players will represent China at the 2021 World Youth Championships in Portugal in December. While 15-year-old Zong Geman from Guangdong celebrated a second-place finish in girls' singles which directly offers her a spot in Team B of the National Team. Her potential must not be underestimated as leaping from provincial team to national team within just 1 year means a lot of progress.

The Championships, consists of 5 events, was held from 21-27 October in Weihai, Shandong where 2021 CTTSL took place earlier this month.
