Singapore 2018 Asian Games Squad Reveals: No Full Team For Men


STTA announces its 2018 Asian Games squad on 29 July. The women's team will be represented by Yu Mengyu, Lin Ye, Zhou Yihan, Zhang Wanling and Feng Tianwei. Meanwhile, the men will not send a full team to the Games having Gao Ning the only male player on the squad.

Hong Kong Announce 2018 Asian Games Squad: Hopes Challenge For Mixed Doubles Podium


The Hong Kong Table Tennis Association has named players set to compete at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, to be held from 26 August to 1 September. The men's lineup is the same as the 2018 World Team Championships squad consisting of Wong Chun Ting, Jiang Tianyi, Ho Kwan Kit, Lam Siu Hang and Ng Pak Nam. Whereas the women's team has four of the World Championships team members, Lee Ho Ching, Doo Hoi Kem, Ng Wing Nam, Soo Wai Yam Minnie in addition to Li Ching Wan.

CTTA made its final decisions regarding the men's team and women's team for 2018 Asian Games to be held in Jakarta from 26 August to 1 September. The lineup does not include all the big names who competed at the 2018 World Team Championships this April but a few promising young stars who will be competing at their first Asian Games.

CTTA Releases 2018 Q2 Rankings: Fan Zhendong & Zhu Yuling Head the List


Halfway through the year, CTTA issues the rankings for the second quarter of 2018 on 6th July. Fan Zhendong and Zhu Yuling climb one place replacing Ma Long and Ding Ning respectively and come first on the listings.

Promotion and Relegation in CNT Men's A Team


20 athletes from the men's A-Team, B-Team and the provincial team went through a round robin competition vying for a spot on the men's A-Team. After 19 rounds of matches, the top 8 finishers of the internal promotion competition, Xu Yingbin, Zheng Peifeng, Sun Wen, Yu Ziyang, Zhao Zihao, Xu Haidong, Xu Chenhao and Ren Hao, have secured their spots on the men's A-Team.
