Promotion and Relegation in CNT Men's A Team

20 athletes from the men's A-Team, B-Team and the provincial team went through a round robin competition vying for a spot on the men's A-Team. After 19 rounds of matches, the top 8 finishers of the internal promotion competition, Xu Yingbin, Zheng Peifeng, Sun Wen, Yu Ziyang, Zhao Zihao, Xu Haidong, Xu Chenhao and Ren Hao, have secured their spots on the men's A-Team.

Let's keep the competition going! Right after the internal competition in the women's B Team, the qualified players vied for their spots on the A Team in the promotion held on 27 February.

While the top Chinese women are competing at 2018 Team World Cup in London, 12 of the B Team members are competing at an internal round robin from 23-25 February to earn their chance to compete at the A Team Promotion Competition.

With less than a month to go before the 2017 World Junior Championships, CTTA announced the the list of Chinese athletes that will be going to Riva del Garda, Italy in late-November. Top juniors from China, Wang Chuqin, Xue Fei, Xu Haidong, Niu Guankai, Wang Manyu, Sun Yingsha, Shi Xunyao and Qian Tianyi, will be attending the championships. This week's Y2Klub introduces, Xu Haidong, a 17-year-old penholder that you should keep an eye on.

New Quad, New Rankings In The Chinese Women's A Team

Members of the Chinese Women's A Team had an internal round-robin competition from 18-21 October. It was said that the bottom 3 would be relegated to Team B. Chen Meng was injured in the first round and had to pull out from the competition but should be able to keep her spot in the A Team.

New Order in Chinese Men's A Team

10 athletes fighting for 4 spots on the men's A Team. It is a career-changing moment, a chance to move up the ranks and a stepping stone to becoming world champion. It is also an unpredictable competition, a close match, a brutal contest. After 3 days of round-robin competition, Ren Hao, Zhao Zihao, Niu Guankai and Zhang Yudong earned the precious spots on the men's A Team.

Fresh Faces In Chinese Men's B Team

The rising star at 2017 National Games, Xiang Peng makes the national team!12 provincial table tennis team athletes (born in 2001-2003) from all parts of China played a round-robin competition at the Chinese National Team in the last 3 days. The national team has selected the top 3 athletes Cao Yantao, Xiang Peng and Kuang Li to join the Men's B Team.

12 athletes from the Chinese men's B Team competed for the 6 spots on the upcoming Team A  promotion competition. Zhang Yudong, Kong Lingxuan, Song Xu, Zhao Zihao, Xu Haidong and Niu Guankai earned their chance to compete against the bottom 4 athletes from the A Team and may be promoted to the A Team while Li Yijie and Fang Yinchi the bottom 2 players were sent back to their provincial teams.
