2019 China Youth National Games (Final Standings and Videos Updated))

Held every 4 years, the second edition of the China Youth National Games touches down Taiyuan, Shanxi from 9 to 17 August.. Have a look at who are the promising juniors burst onto the scene.

The U19 sports schools and U19 sports clubs categories will kick off this Friday from 9-17 August. Some young athletes who stood out at the recent Chinese National Championships such as Shi Xunyao, Qian Tianyi, Liu Yebo, Kuang Li, Xu Yingbin, Yang Shuo, Xiang Peng and Niu Guankai will take part in the tournament. The 2019 China Youth National Games have increased the number off categories from 1, the U20 category, in 2015 to 3, including U15 sports schools, U19 sports clubs and U19 sports schools.  Each category consists of 7 events, and they are team, singles, doubles for both gender and mixed doubles. The preliminary round for the U19 sport schools category was held this April, and the main draw for the U15 sport schools category was played from 4-9 July, check the results for U15 sports schools here (in Chinese).

About China Youth National Games

China Youth National Games is a national multi-sport event held every 4 years for Chinese young athletes. It was first held in 1988 as the China City Games and was given the current name from 2015 onward to gear to the newly launched Youth Olympic Games. The aim of the Games is to prepare the younger generations to move forward and promote sports development in China. Over the years, the Games has been a stage where the future stars shine. Let's say the men's singles and women's singles champion from the 2015 China Youth National Games are Wang Chuqin and Zhu Yuling who represented China at the 2019 WTTC this April.
