Olympic qualification continues in Rabat, Morocco where the 2019 African Games takes place from 20-29 August. One team from each gender will qualify a full team to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games thorough this tournament.
Medal Summary
The 2019 African Games consists of 7 events, the team, singles, doubles events for both men and women and the mixed doubles event. Top seeded Nigerian men's team led by Quadri Aruna will be aiming to defend the title they won in 2015 but they will have to face up challenges posed by Egypt which has the 2019 African Cup finalists, Assar Omar and Saleh Ahmed, on the team, while the defending women's team champion, the Egyptian ladies led by Dina Meshref and Helmy Yousra who finished first and second at the 2019 African Cup will also be keen to hold the title.
The women's team final is scheduled for 23 August at 16:00 local time (GMT+1) and the men's team final will follow right after it.
