The 2019 Korean World Championships squad selection was held from 27 February to 1 March in Jincheon, Korea.
With the 2019 World Championships approaching, many teams are selecting players through trials to form the strongest lineup for the Championships. 14 men and 12 women contested for spots on the 2019 World Championships squad at the Korean Trials. While the Korean women stick with the round-robin competition, the men go different from their past practice and launched a 3-stage knock off competition.
On the women's side, Yoo Eunchong, Choi Hyojoo and Lee Zion make the top 3 in the round robin and secure their tickets to the 2019 WTTC. Park Ganghyeon, Jeoung Youngsik and An Jaehyun are the winner of each stage of the trials and will represent Korea in the men's competition at the 2019 WTTC this April. Lee Sangsu (world ranked 7), Jang Woojin (world ranked), Suh Hyowon (world ranked 11) and Jeon Jihee (world ranked 16) are the 2 highest ranked Korean athletes in their respective field and are directly named on the world championships squad.
