With the 2018 World Championships approaching, many countries are having trials to select the strongest lineup to represent their country. The Korean Trials for 2018 WTTC & Asian Games are set for 23-28 Jan.
A total of 25 men and 25 women, 2017 national team members and athletes who have qualified to the Trials in Stage 1 held from 14-17 Jan, will play a round robin under the best of 5 system. The top athletes, 16 men and 16 women will be named to the national team and the top 3 from each the men's and women's side will join Lee Sangsu and Jeon Jihee (the top-ranked Korean athletes in 2017 Dec world rankings) to compete at the 2018 World Championships and 2018 Asian Games. The remaining spots will be decided by the selection committee after the trials.

Hi Table tennis fan
ReplyDeleteGreat to see a little info from Korean TT as well, so thank you very much for this article :-)
Do you know where I can find more detailed results from the recent Korean Championships (https://bbs.hupu.com/20965857.html) as well?
Hi, Stef,
DeleteYou can find the detailed results from KTTA website which I have posted the link in the article or click the link below.

The result will be updated daily in no.585 post(24 Jan) on KTTA website. It is in Korean but the numbers correspond to the players are the same as the list shown above. You should find it easier to understand the detailed results with the help of this blog and google translate.
I hope you will find this useful.

Hi Table Tennis Fan
DeleteThanks a lot for your help, but I was actually thinking about the Korean National Championships, which were held last month (Dec 22-27)?
I tried looking for results at the KTTA website using Google translate, but I wasn't able to find any, so I was hoping that you might be able to help? :-)
Sorry about the confusion - and thank you once again for making this great blog.
Kind regards
Stef
Hi Stef,
DeleteI am sorry that I have misunderstood your previous question. There is a link to the results of the Korean National Championships and I will inbox you in table tennis daily since it is not easy to insert a clickable link in the comment box here.
