Round 12 Predictions
Men's Round 12
Match 56: A big showdown between Ma Long and Fan Zhendong is likely to be staged in this round. I will be chuffed if we get to see Liu Dingshuo playing against Zhou Yu. I believe we all know how exciting the match could be when the top 2 players play against each other. While Zhou Yu and Liu Dingshuo, both excel in middle / back court counters, can contribute some amazing rallies.
Match 60: The match between Xu Xin and Lin Gaoyuan will be the center of attention for this match. It has been some ups and downs for Xu Xin in the past few rounds. Can he stand up to Lin Gaoyuan who is known for his speed and has an awesome season so far?
Match 59: Since the new selection policy favors U21 athletes, Bazhou Hairun is a team to keep an eye on and get to know the young athletes with good prospects. The focal point of this match will be how will Liang Jingkun and Wang Chuqin perform against the experienced veterans, Fang Bo, Shang Kun and Zhang Chao from Shandon Luneng.
Women's Round 12
Match 59: Despite Shenzhen University managed to sneaked through round 11 winning Bayi Jingbo with a slight advantage 3-2, Chen Meng lost 2 points as the key player of the team. Perhaps missing the spot on the Team World Cup has cast a gloom over her but life must go on. Will we see a "Grand-Finals Chen Meng" who retains her composure and put up an intense match against Zhu Yuling?
Match 60: I'm lovin Sun Mingyang from Bayi Jingbo, her short-pips backhand is very unique, quick in the follow up and the counters. Chen Xingtong who has just earned her spot on the Team World Cup squad, has some solid backhand as well. If the 2 get to play against each other, it will definitely make this match fun to watch.
