Quick Notes:
1. MD: With the big guns sitting out this event, the podium is up for everyone. Sun Wen / Zhang Yudong ended up 4th at the 2017 Chinese National Games and is the top seed of the meet but Yan An/Zhou Yu, Xue Fei/Wang Chuqin, Zhou Qihao/Liang Jingkun, Yu Ziyang/Liu Dingshuo are medal contenders as well.
2. WD: The competition field is insanely intense for the women. The finalists at 2017 Chinese National Games ( Mu Zi/Gu Yuting and Zhu Yuling/ Chen Meng) conquered the top 2 seeds positions. Of course we could not count out multiple World Tour women's doubles champion, Chen Xingtong and Sun Yingsha.
3. XD: The huge favorite of the event definitely goes to the 2018 Asian Games mixed doubles champion (Wang Chuqin / Sun Yingsha) and 1st runner-up (Lin Gaoyuan / Wang Manyu)
4. XD Final: A replica of the 2018 Asian Games mixed doubles finals, 2018 Youth Olympians Wang Chuqin / Sun Yingsha won 4-3 over Lin Gaoyuan / Wang Manyu. The newly crowned mixed doubles national champion will join force at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games coming up this October! I hope this mixed doubles title will boost their confidence heading into the Games.

6. MD Final: Long-time men's doubles partner at 2017 CTTSL Shang Kun / Zhang Chao prove that they are at top shape and are yet to retire. They make a 4-0 clean sweep over Zhou Kai / Xu Chenhao in the finals.
7. This wraps up the doubles events. The last day of the championships will have the singles semifinals and finals. Check out the details on our post about the singles event!
