Looks like they are using 2 color white/orange ball. Who is the ball supplier ... dhs?
ReplyDeleteYou are right! It's the 2-color ball from DHS. Some players said the ball is heavier with less spin but more speed.
DeleteHao Shuai in a team coached by Guo Yuehua? I suppose that is THE Guo Yuehua, dominant in the late 70's, early 80's? I've seen a few clips of him playing, absolutely marvellous. I know that Jörgen Persson considers him the greatest player of all time. Lots of experience in that team...
ReplyDeleteWill be interesting to follow Wuhan Hundred Percent. I was there two years ago, when they started attracting more female players. At that time, Wu Yang was there practicing, and possibly also Wang Manyu. And I have to confess, I will cheer for whichever team Feng Yalan plays for...
It is The Guo Yuehua who won the first men's world cup back in 1980. Indeed there are many experience on Shenzhen Baoan. I love to see Hao Shuai playing smart in the match using his experience and the team defeated Shandong Luneng 3-0 which had surprised me.
DeleteGreat choice! Wuhan Hundred Percent is the defending champion and their line-up is pretty solid with Liu Shiwen and Feng Yalan on the team. For the men's team I like to watch Bayi Dashang because the team spirit is awesome, especially when they make a comeback. Whereas for the women's side, I would love to see Zhu Yuling leading Shandong Luneng to win the title that they missed last year. There are other teams that I like as well and the list will go on and on so I'd better stop here.
I try to be as neutral as possible when I wrote the article that has a more in-depth introduction on the men's team and I am working on the women's teams. I would love to know your thoughts on that article as well!
