The North American Olympic Team Trials took place on 5 October at Rockford. Team USA won both the men's and women's team title with two 3-0 victories over Canada.
Such success has brought Team USA qualification for the 2 team events and the 2 singles events (2 places for each singles event) at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Since the USA has already secured places for the singles events through qualifying teams to the Games, Canada will take the remaining continental slots for the singles events.
