Ma Long & Xu Xin Interview after Round 5
Key Matches of Round 5
Men's
Match 23: Ready for a match between Ma Long and Xu Xin? It has been awhile since they played against each other. Ma Long, the new dad, was doing great in the last round (congratulations Ma Long!). Could he stand up to another tough competitor Xu Xin? It would be a close match between the 2 teams and the doubles will be a critical match for the team.
Match 24: Anhui Langkun was doing surprisingly good in the last few rounds. Zhou Qihao and Yu Ziyang beat Fang Bo in the last round and their doubles are quite competitive as well. Could the underdogs halt Shandong Weiqiao's winning streak with Lin Gaoyuan, Yan An and Xue Fei on Shandong Weiqiao?
Match 21: Fan Zhendong might be playing against his PLA teammate Xu Chenhao in this round. Xu Chenhao was quite a challenging player to Fan Zhendong despite he does not have the world ranking comparable to Fan Zhendong. Other than that I believe Bayi Dashang should have a smooth game in this round.
Women's
Match 22: We have more news about Wang Manyu's injury. She has twisted her back (and some minor dislocation in her joints) before round 3 of CTTSL. It is unconfirmed that whether she will show up in round 5 but if she does it will be a big showdown between Wang Manyu, Sun Yingsha and Chen Meng. We wish her a speedy recovery and make a strong comeback.
Match 21: This should be a highlight of the round but we have no idea whether someone will be streaming the competition. As we might see a Liu Shiwen Vs Ding Ning in this match. Or we can expect a hand-switch from Feng Yalan against Ding Ning. Anyway, the possibility for Beijing Shougang to win this match is very unlikely but I am anticipating the match between the top Chinese players in this match.
