As 2021 World Table Tennis Championships (WTTC) approaches, the Chinese are preparing for such prestigious meet in the same fashion, holding closed-door training camps and launching a warm-up match two weeks before the real deal, from 12 to 14 November.
The women's field of the warm-up match includes eight athletes: Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu and Chen Xingtong who will be attending WTTC in Huston later this month; and Kuai Man, Chen Yi, Qin Yuxuan and Wu Yangchen who will be representing China at the 2021 Junior Worlds.
While, the majority of the men's Worlds squad (Lin Gaoyuan, Liang Jingkun, Wang Chuqin and Zhou Qihao) are competing in Slovenia, the depth of the men's team allows them to throw a sizable competition by gathering 32 top players including Olympic champion Ma Long and Xu Xin who will be absent from WTTC. Matches will be played in the best of 7 games and some women's singles and doubles matches will include male players to increase the intensity of the competition. ReplyDeleteGreat coverage!🏓🔛🔥
As far as I know Zhibo.tv is the official broadcaster for the event but users must pay in order to have access to the coverage. You may click on the word 'Live streaming' which will direct you to a Weibo account which also provides live streaming. There are some Youtube channel uploading footage of the matches afterwards and I think you can search them by typing the players name.
