Your Views: What Are The Special Moments Of 2018
If I have to sum up 2018 in one word, I would say 'team' is the word to go to. How about you? What are your favourite moments in 2018? Who has stepped up and become your new faves? 2018 will soon be history in around 2 months. We would like to know Your Views. So, come to join our discussion and tell us what are the table tennis moments that have struck you the most and how you would sum up 2018!
Table tennis in 2018 is about TEAM. With so many team competitions (Team World Cup, Team World Championships and regional tournaments like Commonwealth Games, South American Games, Mediterranean Games, Asian Games etc) taking place this year, we have seen teams that have put their names on the table tennis map. Also, a historic moment when the two Korean teams joined forces to show peace in the sport which has drawn the eyes of people who don't quite follow table tennis with.
The team competitions aside, we find veterans, such as Michael Maze, Hou Yingchao etc, making their comebacks and young talents joining the international scene, perhaps more to come with the World Cadet Challenge, Youth Olympic Games and Junior World Championships taking place in a few weeks time.
Half-way through the Olympic cycle, it is the perfect time to check how is every team doing and discover a few 2020 Olympic medal contenders. I am planning to write a review of 2018 which hopefully will be released by New Year. Like many ordinary people, I have opinions but I also try my best to keep a more objective perspective in mind. It would be very kind of you if you could share your thoughts to make the review more comprehensive and objective. Here are a few topics that you can comment on. Alternatively, if there is anything that is not listed below but you want us to know just speak out. We welcome free discussion but pretty please do not throw hate speeches, all-out attacks or spam just to keep an open, friendly and enjoyable comment section. Thank you!
